Video the next big thing is NOW!

I was reading mytechopinion.com and transparentre.com this morning and both are highlighting Kyte.tv. Kyte in my opinion is unique in that instead of merely posting a video to a website and your video being stored as part of an ever growing catalog of online videos your actually producing a show online. You can do this on the go 24×7. You can share videos, pictures, music through your channel. You can also at a glance see how many people are viewing your show and interact with them through a chat embedded in the player or polls you overlay your video/pictures/music with.

Some interesting possibilities that come to mind are videos which examine the market place, provide first time home buyer information, foreclosure information, hyper local neighborhood videos in which you show what there is to eat or do in a neighborhood that people may want to move into. Of course you can also use the show to showcase featured properties.

The great thing about Kyte.tv is that you do not have to commit to one idea you can do them all and get a feel for what works for you site and what has the most impact. Once your channel is built, Kyte will allow you to embed it on your website, blog much like youtube. The big difference being that every time you update your channel wherever your channel is embedded will be updated simultaneously.

Ever since youtube hit the Internet in February of 2005 video has been dramatically changing the way people look for and share content. Kyte.tv is I believe the next big thing in sharing video online. We are just now beginning to see video trickle down to agent sites in the Real Estate industry. This is a good thing because ever since consumers could find properties online they have been asking for more photos, and higher quality photos now they want video.

I believe video offers many opportunities for REALTORS and others involved in the real estate industry. You can use video to market listings, testimonials from satisfied clients, personal marketing, brand enhancement and so much more. Compared with the text only offerings of a couple years ago public search sites are much richer in content and presentation however with video they could go further still.

At the association an often asked question is “how do I get people to my site” or “how do I keep people on my site once they are there”. Video answers both those questions, people are naturally going to progress to the sites that offer them the most information and video is one of the richest media presentation methods available online today.

I believe that Kyte.tv will allow you the agent or broker to not only get people to your site to see information about a property but also begin exposing potential clients to the value you bring to the transaction. Through chats and polls you will be able to interact with people in a completely new and unique way it might even be possible to have full on classes using the Kyte.tv interface I doubt the potential offerings have been fully realized yet. Let me know when you have your channel up and running I would love to see it. Also if you have any ideas about how could use video on your site leave them in the comments.
