Enjoy the Long Weekend

For those of you who have ever wondered why Labor Day exists other than a reason sale furniture at “crazy low prices”. Labor day began as a holiday in 1882, it was proposed by the Central Labor Union who wanted to create a day of rest for the “working man” and finally became a national holiday by Act of Congress in 1894.

Well with that nugget of information I would like to announce that this is my weekend of rest, my wife has mandated that I will do no work, including blogging, for the rest of the weekend. Instead I will be concentrating on fishing. Look for a new post on Tuesday! Until then have a great weekend and enjoy the unofficial/official end of summer.
