Congratulations Mark! It is always inspiring to see people finish what they started. The odds reflect the challenge. The vast majority of people who pause or protract the completion of their bachelors, for whatever reason, do not ever complete the degree.
For my personal moment of achievement, I was unfortunate enough to break my neck and suffer temporary paralysis in the summer of my sophomore year at Michigan. I was fortunate enough, paradoxically, to be at Michigan, perhaps the finest research medical school in the nation. Thanks to their help, I was able to get back on my feet (after a fashion), and complete my studies. It is certainly a feeling of completion and accomplishment, but as Mark is experiencing now, even more it is a rebirth to a whole new set of challenges and opportunities.
