Kill Auto Caps in Powerpoint 2007

As a frequent user of PowerPoint one of the most annoying features to me is automatic capitalization. Given that much of what I write in PowerPoint is not in the form of complete sentences I do not need them to start with a capital letter. If you find this feature annoying as well read on for a step-by-step solution.

  1. Click the Office Button (the big globe with the MS logo in the upper left corner)
  2. Click Power Point Options
  3. Click Proofing
  4. Click AutoCorrect
  5. Uncheck the box next to ‘Capitalize the first letter of each sentence’
  6. Click Ok
